Pink Snake

Liophidium Pattoni
Liophidium Pattoni

The eight previously known species of  Liophidium are brown to black in colour, making the brilliant red, blue and yellow markings of Liophidium pattoni really stand out. Discovered in Madagascar in 2010, the 416mm-long snake does not appear to be aggressive or poisonous. One theory about its crazy colouring is that it may mimic distasteful millipedes.
