It’s always nice to take a look back at what computing used to be like and how we thought the future would pan out. Here are a few old covers of Byte magazine for your viewing pleasure.

They date from the late 70s and early 80s- a time when operating systems were just hitting the headlines, there was a buzz about things called interactive videodisks and it seemed like the future of computers might be wrist-based micros running on tiny floppy disks. Aaaw!
