Clarence Schmidt was a nationally renowned outsider artist. This is his ongoing life’s work, the so-called Miracle on the Mountain that he worked tirelessly on between the years 1940-1972. It’s a monumental environmental sculpture constructed of found objects and recycled materials which evolved on the back slope of Ohayo Mountain, in Woodstock, New York.
