This crazy guitar shaped forest was originally planted by Argentinan farmer Pedro Martin Ureta and his four children many years ago. Now 71-years old, Pedro decided to create the forest in memory of his late wife who loved the instrument and had talked about making one after seeing a strangely shaped forest on a plane journey.
Located in the fertile agricultural region of Argentina’s ‘Pampas’ and measuring up at over a kilometer in length, the guitar forest is quite visible from passing planes and satellites.
If you want to plant your own guitar shaped forest, you’re going to need of over 7,000 cypress and eucalyptus trees. The guitar body and star-shaped sound hole are made up of cypress trees while the beautiful blue eucalyptus trees are used to represent the six strings.
